About LittleBig Productions

The Company

LittleBig Productions is an independent film production company based in Stockholm, founded in 1993 by Anna Guðbjörg Magnúsdóttir and run together with partner Anders Granström. We have produced award-winning features, shorts, documentaries and animations across three decades.

We focus on feature films, series and drama for domestic and international distribution — always in search of stories that must be told.

We are a founding member of Nordic Genre Invasion (est. 2013), a network of Nordic genre film producers for co-operation in marketing and distribution.

We work closely with our sister company Film Partner Iceland on Nordic co-productions and with Green Lighting Studio — our audience funding platform.

Our Approach

We are in this line of work for the love of good stories — and they are to be found in any genre.

What unites our productions is authentic storytelling, strong character work, and films that resonate across cultures and borders. We trust audiences to recognise a good story when they see one — and we believe in going out to meet them, not waiting for them to find us. We bring that same conviction to how we work: sustainably, responsibly, and with the long game in mind.
